Spring Lake 606, along with all school districts across Tazewell County, is asking voters to consider a 1% Illinois County Schools Facility Tax (CSFT), also known as the "one-cent tax." This type of request can provide funding for critical school facility repairs/renovations, security and safety measures for students, and reduce reliance on property taxes to fund these projects. This is the same type of sales tax that exists in every county bordering Tazewell, and revenue from this tax is collected from purchases made by visitors, not solely by Tazewell County residents. Throughout the fall, we will provide additional information and resources for families and residents who may have questions or wish to learn more. The first couple of days have been a great start, and it’s been wonderful seeing students back in the building, reconnecting with friends, and getting settled into the new school year. 📣‼️Rankin Softball Tryout Time Change! Due to the predicted weather forecast, tomorrow’s softball tryout (Mon. July 27th) will be moved from 3-5 p.m. to 6-8p.m. Players should arrive in shorts and gym shoes and meet in the Main Gym, first. It’s anticipated that the tryout could be held both inside and outside depending on the heat, etc. Please bring water. These extra precautions will help ensure the safety of all. Cheerleading and Dance Team Information - 2026 For both Cheerleading and Dance Team Tryouts (5th-8th Grade) an Informational Meeting will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 2:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Library Cheerleading and Dance Team WORKSHOP Day #1 - Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. Cheerleading and Dance Team WORKSHOP Day #2 - Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 3:00 - 5:15 p.m. Cheerleading and Dance Team OFFICIAL TRYOUT - Friday, August 21, 2026, from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. *At the informational meeting on the 14th, the coaches will provide more specific information about times, details, workshop help videos, and guidance for student-athletes to help them coordinate the tryout with other fall sports. While the tryout will be after school on the 21st, generally, both teams are planning to utilize mornings again this year for regular practices during the year and possibly some Saturdays, too, which helps our student-athletes coordinate their schedules with other sports and activities. Registration for TCHD's After School Care at Rankin will open on Wednesday, July 15, at 8:00 a.m.

The QR code on the included flyer will direct you to the Parent Portal, where registration can be completed.
