Regarding Sports at Rankin:

Dear Families,

All Sports Guidance was recently released from Governor Pritzker's Office. Thus, IESA reviewed this new information and released an announcement found here www.iesa.org, which allows for the beginning of fall sports as early as this Monday, August 3rd. While this situation is fluid, our District intends to begin softball, baseball, and cross country (@ South Pekin) tentatively on Monday, August 3rd .

Tentative Schedule for Monday, August 3rd.

Cross Country 8:00 a.m. @ South Pekin

Baseball tryouts 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Softball tryouts 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Please remember this is a fluid situation and is subject to change. A final update with an overview of all the safety guidelines and procedures and the status of the official approval to begin on Monday, August 3rd will be provided by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2nd. All participants must have a current physical on file with the office. No exceptions. Students who are Remote Learning are allowed to participate in extracurricular activities as long as they remain academically eligible. If you have any questions, please contact me at mgordon@rankin98.org. I will be back in touch by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2nd. Have a great weekend!

Due to the governor's most recent Executive Order, school will not resume until after Spring Break. While the official order calls for school to resume on April 8th, our school will be on Spring Break during that time. All of our students should have been given enough e-Learing activities to take them up to Spring Break (starting April 6th). If not please contact your child's teacher or the school for further assistance. As of this moment school will resume for Spring Lake students and staff on April 14, 2020. Lastly, due to the most recent changes the district office hours will change to 8:00 am - 11:00 am. If you need assistance outside of that time, please call the school and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding, and stay well.
